If it's a reboot, it's a good reboot. If it's a sequel, it's a bad sequel. Well it's definitely not a reboot. For one it's set a few decades after the original trilogy. Also, the original actors return to reprise their roles But the story is essentially the same as Episode 4. So if it's a reboot of the original series, then they did an okay job, if it's supposed to be a completley new story, they screwed it up.

Cool new characters, sure, and Han Solo *spoilers* but other than that nothing else is really good.

I guess fans wanted nostalgia rather than freshness Nostalgia should not be ripping off another movie's entire plotline off. I would've given a pass if Episode 4 sucked and the fans felt like they needed to redo that movie, but Episode 4 was actually good. JJ Abrams apparently couldn't hire a competant enough writer to draft a new idea for a Star Wars movie (Which is one of the biggest universes in film history so they had plenty of material to work with). Also if they really were that lazy and decided not to write a new film they could've at least made the expanded universe books into movies. This pissed me off and a lot of other fans for sure.

Well I haven't seen Episode 7, so I can't properly judge. Instead I'll let Kelan give his two cents here

But I'm not sure, see I don't know about rock and roll movies...School of Rock was good, but I think this movie probably will have a different feeling.

But it has tons of good rock and roll music from that era that is used as the soundtrack for the movie and to set the tone and atmosphere of the film

Cause I know the movie was released sometime in the 70s right? Before Star Wars?
