Though i've never seen any Floyd members live, I was a big fan of Roger's tour documentary regarding The Wall shows. Even though it was mostly just a concert film with a few clips of him coming to grips with his father's death thrown in, it was all around very poignant, even during the musical performances. It's might be the most profoundly gripping example of Roger-dominated Floyd i've ever seen or heard (yes I know it's solo, but he's still playing Floyd songs). Has anyone seen any of his Wall shows and what did you think of the experience? Also what did you think of the film?

I went to his Melbourne concert back in early 2012 - actually it was the first concert I ever went to (how time flies). Absolutely blown away by it, particularly the concert opening - complete with a replica Stuka

I haven't seen the show in person, but have the double blu-ray. I don't like the way he messed around with the album's flow and put in those nonsense talking bits...

I don't remember talking bits in the songs or songs being swapped around. I mean interrupting songs that originally flowed together, taking out instrumental passages here & there and all that strange stuff about lightning and tunnels. It was just weird. Hell, they didn't even show us the fucking flowers!

I get what you mean but I didn't think it was too bad and the show was still entertaining.

Agree it's decent but it could've been better if they had just presented the performance in full and kept the talking bits to before the first half, intermission and after the ending. Plus CN with Dave (on the bonus disc) has such terrible sound quality, a real shame!
