This is the place where you may post your results of a "Discography Challenge". All it really is, is that you pick an artist, listen to their entire studio discography (though feel free to throw in live albums, EPs, rarities collections and/or singles collections) and then rank all the albums in order of preference. You may also give each album a rating, though doing so is merely optional.

With all that said, let the listening begin

I get what you mean regarding rating stuff. It's a bit of a pain at times. i enjoy it though.

Meanwhile I'm going through The Doors discography (brilliant, despite a slight dip in quality by The Soft Parade), The Bee Gees (a mixed bag, though when they're great, they're great), Van Halen (Mediocrity all the way through, oh why did I choose this) and The Mothers Of Invention (consistently top-notch all the way through)

I started listening to my Eric Clapton and Gary Moore collections, but neither is complete... Manfred Mann's Earth Band are also lined up. Now that's something I always look forward to, I can't not enjoy Manfred's playing

Setting up my own ranking system which I will apply to all subsequent ranks....

5/5 = Classic, essential.... a must listen
4/5 = Great, if a little flawed.... worth a listen
3/5 = Above average, nothing to go crazy about
2.5/5 = Average - though in the positive sense of the word
2/5 = Below average, or mediocre
1/5 = Awful, with maybe a redeemable moment or two.... mainly for completists
0/5 = Piece of crap garbage that needs to be flushed down the toilet
