How 'bout the movies? I remember as a kid I saw the poster for the simpsons movie with some donut. I forgot. There was only one movie, and as Kelan said it's not a great place to start either Thought they would've made more movies, considering the show's so big and all. Hell, even Mr. Bean, which only had like 17 episodes had like 3 movies.

Plus don't forget there was also an animated series

Wasn't Bean was some sort of special they aired once in a while and that's why there's only a few episodes of it? Cause Doctor Who, EastEnders, and Casualty seem to be going strong well over 10 years... 2. I'm guessing they stopped making the movies after realizing how much people hated it. 3. The animated series doesn't have the charm of Rowan Atkinson so it's not so gud.

Also totally disagree with the third

Financially successful doesn't mean it's good. Transformers was amazing successful. 3. I just really don't like animation, I feel that it's just too silly.

I thoroughly disagree, and I think the animation added to the charm of the series. Also when I asked "Would you rather Blackadder instead?", it was in response to you saying that the Bean animated series "didn't look too serious"

How did it add the charm to the series? I'll admit I don't have a strong liking for animation in the first place, but still.

No I'm being genuine, though the bluesythug isn't a big fan of it. Definitely worth checking out though start with the second series. Series 1 might as well be a different show and is really only worth watching if you've already seen the rest

(series)? It looks very British though, might have a hard time understanding the humor.

They exist on their own terms

That's honestly confusing, how does that work? To be fair I thought Doctor Who was confusing until I got the hang of it.

That's honestly confusing, how does that work? To be fair I thought Doctor Who was confusing until I got the hang of it. No not a different universe, just a different part of history. Imagine that they are descendants or ancestors of the characters in the other seasons. Series 2 was a radical change in tone from series 1 and is what popularised the show so after series 2 they kept similar character traits for the family members of the earlier characters. They share the same surnames fhroughout and are referred to by those surnames. There are exceptions however like Percy from Blackadder II isn't anywhere to be found in Blackadder the Third, his role being filled by George (based loosely on the real prince of Wales, and played by Hugh Laurie). However in the final series, Blackadder Goes Fourth, George (with no connection any longer to his real life incarnation) and Percy both share screen time, Percy's name being changed to Darling. It's pretty easy to figure once you get the hang of it and even if you don't figure it out, it's still easy to follow the storylines of each individual episode. Just enjoy it for the laughs, not the plot

Another thing.... early Doctor Who has been greatly criticised for its poor production values - even for its time. So they're not exactly the most indicative of TV from the 60's and 70's
