I like several furry animals. I find it hilarious to me sounds like a couple of dudes masturbating in a cave So you like the song because you think it sounds like dudes masturbating? LMAO Yeah, I must admit I literally never thought of it that way.... not even close

LMAO Yeah, I must admit I literally never thought of it that way.... not even close I just thought of it as a bunch of noises. Granted there's probably more meaning to it than that (or is there?), but it's definatley not masturbating dudes. Lol

Simplistic explanation, but yea. Well it's certainly the Rog-approved explanation He said that? I know he called Ummagumma a failure or something, but don't know anything he said about this song specifically. Let's be fair teh Rog generally claims he hates most music of Floyd. He said he dislikes the Syd era, and obviously dislikes the Gilmour stuff too.

He didn't neccessarily say he "hates" it but he said he didn't enjoy it. The fluffy animals song? I only heard it once and last time I remember there weren't any lyrics in that song.

It was a hidden message about four and a half minutes in.... you could hear him say that if you slowed the song down. As for not enjoying playing Syd's songs, that's only because he got sick of playing them after playing it countless times - particularly Interstellar Overdrive

Something about a phone call? Or was that Empty Spaces? Forget.... Well apparently he didn't seem to get sick of playing his 10-minute songs...So I'm just gonna assume that he was fed up with Syd and his music.

Pink Floyd have been using hidden messages throughout their career. Roger didn't get fed up with Syd.... but after playing the same songs over and over again for years, you do get tired of it. The difference between the Syd stuff and "his 10 minute songs" is simple - the latter were written by Roger himself and were a lot more personal for him

Well he didn't seem to have a problem playing 10 minute songs even if they were written by Gilmour or Wright, so I personally think he didn't really enjoy Syd's style.

Like songs written by Gilmour or Wright, like on ATM he had no complaints playing those. Also he's implied it though

Did he say the same about Echoes?

Did he say the same about Echoes? Well I'm not sure, but as far as I know, he hasn't even performed that for decades. I could be wrong though. Plus Roger's gone on record to express how he's no fan of AHM

AHM doesn't sound like Roger's style anyways, was it even written by the guy?

Yeah, Roger co-wrote AHM This guy just generally hates all the stuff he wrote when Pink Floyd was still in its early years I guess. Which is a shocker cause I actually like AHM.

Oh damn, forgot Sorrow was on momentary, that was a really really good track. I love the guitar. Sorrow has some of the most forceful and monolithic sounding guitar outside of punk, metal or other hard rock variations. It's so loud and distorted and had so much passion. Just incredible. Was also amazing live

I'm pretty sure that wasn't compiled by Gilmour all alone. Thought Echoes was a group effort. And I'm pretty sure that if Gilmour DID compile it all by himself (or with Mason or Wright) Roger would've gone mad. Mate Roger wasn't in the band by this point. I'm pretty sure that wasn't compiled by Gilmour all alone. Thought Echoes was a group effort. And I'm pretty sure that if Gilmour DID compile it all by himself (or with Mason or Wright) Roger would've gone mad. Well it's obvious that it would have been the work of primarily Gilmour - as well as Mason and Wright. I highly doubt that Roger would have been involved Echoes was a group collaboration - but I think Roger was outvoted in a few places. When Fletcher was the only thing I knew from the album (thanks to Echoes) I thought it sounded too theatrical and contrived. Still think they could've selected something else.

Last time with the original lineup: 1974 Last time by Pink Floyd: 1987 Last time by band members: 2006 (David & Rick, and amazing it was - check out the Remember That Night version!)
