Simple premise; largely goes without saying.
As you all know, this humble forum has been seeing a burst of activity in recent times from a great myriad of different people with a passion for Pink Floyd and everything to do with them.
As it so happens (and in all seriousness), I realise that I haven't contributed all that much lately, which really is quite a shame. But I thought I'd give a relatively brief update on what's up with me lately.
I started university around a month ago and by and large it has enveloped my life - both academically and socially. I'm studying Politics, Philosophy & Economics at La Trobe University and have joined multiple clubs on campus. Of course, among those clubs was one for the Labor Party, and political activity has taken up a lot of my time. I helped take part in Labor's campaign at the Batman by-election where we were the underdogs - and managed to win with an increased majority. You'll see me in some of the news coverage of the victory celebrations haha.
It's not all been politics though. Just today actually, I was elected Vice President of the La Trobe Cinema Club. We get together every Friday enough to watch a film or two, which I greatly look forward to. Music hasn't been neglected either. I've also joined the Music Club where we get together and jam every now and again. I also got to see Roger Waters live last month - six years after I first saw him. It goes without saying that it was an incredible experience.
What about the rest of you? How's life treating you?

All around pretty good. Been writing a blog, starting a podcast, getting further involved with the community radio station I volunteer at, searching for employment and otherwise just chilling out. Looks like this year is going to be a good one.

hello this is a good board. I like nice quiet boards. I don't like noisy nosy nose length contest boards boards with petty insults boards with too many snooty posters. Welcome me!

Welcome cooper_gnome. Also I don't know much about Disney comics DarkSideFreak. Definitely admire Walt and his legacy though even if the corporate giant that the company's become sometimes bothers me.

Welcome cooper_gnome. Also I don't know much about Disney comics DarkSideFreak. Definitely admire Walt and his legacy though even if the corporate giant that the company's become sometimes bothers me. The people I'm mainly a fan of are actually all Italian. The Italian production had already started in the 1940s (I think?) and there is a great tradition of good authors and artists. Here's an article I wrote about one of them: scrooge-mcduck.wikia.com/wiki/CastyEpic stuff! (And I've been reading comics ever since I was very small, but only recently got the idea of joining a forum about them!)

Nearly finished my first year at university, and fuck it's been a tumultuous year. As it turned out student politics did end up dominating my entire year, to the point where I ended up standing for a paid office-bearing position in the Student Union.... and let's just say I got the (second)most number of votes.
I turned 20 yesterday actually (well, today in some parts of the world).... and I suppose this has got me in a rather nostalgic mood, given this really marks the end of my teenage years. It's crazy to think that I first joined the old APFFN back in mid-2013, when I was still 14.... how time flies

Happy belated birthday!
I'd been working on some videos, but recently my computer has given me a lot of grief so that came to a premature end...
